On behalf of Infomedia, we are looking for a strategic, structured and committed Head of Analytics who will be responsible for providing strategic guidance to Infomedia’s customer base and translating media analytics into value-added growth strategies in a business setting. You will set the direction of consulting and analytical services and be proactive in the sales of analysis solutions as well as have a great responsibility in the establishment of strong customer relations, thus requiring both a sales-oriented and strategic mindset. In addition, as Head of Analytics you will be at the forefront of the day-to-day operations of Infomedia’s analytical department.

The acquisition has made Infomedia a global player in the media monitoring space, providing relevant business critical media insights to other media monitoring companies worldwide. In l 2019, Infomedia acquired three media monitoring companies from M- Brain with activities in Oslo, Stockholm and Tallinn.

The position
Infomedia offers a number of standardized and automated reports on media monitoring services and media analysis for their customers. The primary task of the analytics department is to offer a more complete interpretation of the analyses by advising its clients on media efforts, benchmarks and utilization of synergy across media. As the Head of Analytics, you will provide this strategic advice to Infomedia’s enterprise customers, as well as help them translate media analytics into value-added strategies from a business perspective. Therefore, you will be responsible for driving the further development of Infomedia’s analysis and consulting portfolio, as well as to drive business value for its clients by conducting consultancy at a C-level. You will be responsible for leading the advisory unit consisting of a handful of employees, and you are expected to set the vision for future operations and development as well as the vision and overall responsibility for the department's goal achievement and profitability. In addition to the advisory unit, Infomedia has a production set-up of the analyses in Tallinn. Naturally, the Head of Analytics will work closely with this department. You will be part of a Nordic team with leaders from Denmark and Norway with similar role and responsibility.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of Lead Analysts and Analysts.
  • Generating an increase in media monitoring services by selling media analyses (weekly, monthly and quarterly), communication analyses, impact analyses and consulting advices with the objective to increase sales and profitability.
  • Advising Communication Managers and C-level stakeholders in getting the right analysis and insights in to play when looking at the company’s and competitors’ reputation, brand impact and assessments of opportunities and risks.
  • Participate in concept development and development of analytical methods.
  • Participate in customer and product activities across the Nordic market.

You will report directly to the Country Manager, Joakim Vein Huis. You will have a cross reference to Head of Consulting Anders Uttrup from Copenhagen having the Nordic responsibility of strategy and methodology for Consulting and analysis.

Your profile
You have a solid analytical toolkit and the ideal candidate has +7 years of experience with a wide range of analysis programs and systems either from another major company or from management consulting. Experience from analysis or business intelligence companies is seen as a huge plus. You have strong consultancy skills and are used to communicate with directors and managers in the country's largest companies - both in daily dialogue, in reporting insights and in discussions about future projects.

In relation to analytical, strategic and technical competences, experiences in the following areas will be an advantage:

  • Media analysis and advice in the form of reporting and presentations for executives.
  • Media monitoring across digital, traditional and editorial media.
  • Audience analysis, including a great understanding of brand and behavior.

Moreover, you have a hands-on approach to your work and are used to work with digital platform analysis. In order to succeed in the role, it is important that you know how to find valuable insights from complex amounts of data, and not at least have the ability to communicate it in a simple and understandable format. You will work with many different non-analytic stakeholders hence good communication skills are crucial.

In addition to having a well-developed analytical mind-set, you also have a creative approach to the analysis work, so that Infomedia's analysis team is always at the forefront of development and innovation. It is therefore important that you are naturally curious and have a well-developed sense and interest in the latest trends in the analysis of digital and traditional channels.
As a person, you are energetic, structured and reliable with a strategic and positive perspective to analytics, and it is also important that you take responsibility for your as well as your department's decisions. Additionally, you are proactive, welcoming and outgoing, and you make room for other talented employees as well. In the role, it is important that you pay close attention to detail while at the same time be able to view things from a bigger perspective and come up with new solutions that drive the department forward in a positive direction.
