Cobham SATCOM is on an interesting growth journey, and to position the company as an innovative technology thought leader, we are looking for a self-driven and business savvy VP Marketing, who will be responsible for developing the future global marketing strategy while building and managing a high-performing Marketing & Brand team.

The company headquarters are in Lyngby, Denmark and has a large development and manufacturing site in Concord, CA (USA). They work with the biggest players in the industry, and the technologies they work with affect lives across the world.

In January 2020, Advent International, one of the largest and most experienced global private equity investors, acquired all of Cobham plc and has subsequently separated Cobham SATCOM as an independent business. Cobham SATCOM works with customers and partners across the globe and is at this moment experiencing vast growth with many new opportunities in the pipeline.


The position
The position is a unique opportunity to make your mark in a fast-growing international company by creating and driving the overall marketing vision and continually challenge the status quo to build and improve digital efforts and transformation. You will become responsible for leading the overall global marketing strategy, developing customer journey and implementing innovative omni-channel objectives and activities that support the company’s vision, ambitions and business goals. This to drive demand generation and commercial growth through both traditional and digital channels. 

As Cobham SATCOM is facing immense growth, you will additionally be in charge of building, growing and managing a high-performing Marketing & Brand team that can optimize sales operations. The team currently consist of 8 employees.


Your key responsibilities include:

  • Develop a new marketing vision and strategy that meets new global business and digital opportunities
  • Build, grow and nurture a data-driven and result-oriented Marketing & Brand team and set current and long-term goals for the team
  • Position the company as an innovative technology thought leader – also from an employer branding perspective - and in addition position the brand towards business-critical connectivity solutions, both person-to-person and machine-to-machine/IOT
  • Support and enable a transition from marketing of products to solutions and services with increasing opportunity for recurring revenue models
  • Develop and manage the digital funnel to profitably drive long-tail sales while maintaining existing customer relationships
  • Manage and develop the customer journey
  • Build foundation of market, customer and end-user data and insights providing input to marketing strategy and product roadmap
  • Product marketing for both key accounts and channel partners/distributors
  • Campaign creation and activation

 Joining Cobham SATCOM, you will work out of their headquarters and report directly to the SVP Product Management & Marketing. You will be part of an independent company with around 500 employees across the world, along with partners in over 100 countries.


Your profile

You are an innovative, commercial and data-oriented person with a strong interpersonal drive and excellent stakeholder management skills – and you hold the right digital marketing flair and technical passion to enter a global company setting pioneering goals and subsequently driving a new marketing direction.

Ideally, you hold a master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology or similar and come with minimum 8-10 years of experience as a marketing leader managing and developing teams to deliver on ambitious business goals and enabling and supporting a high clock speed. You have substantial experience in leading a transformation towards Digital Marketing and know how to use digital assets to drive performance marketing as well as brand transformation – both in the market/industry and within the organization.  It is essential that you have experience promoting technical products and services in a B2B setting. Moreover, if you have touched international companies and/or engineering companies, it is a plus.

You come with an entrepreneurial drive and a hands-on mentality, along with an inspiring and motivating approach that affects every person you meet. You are a strong communicator with outstanding writing skills, analytic acumen, data and content synthesis for presentation, education and reporting, hence are not afraid of entering the stage sharing thoughts and strategies to a global audience. You are honest and transparent, are structured and detail oriented, and have a commercial mindset with focus on both top and bottom line. Finally, you are ready to roll up your sleeves to drive cutting-edge marketing principles and practices within a leading company that is harnessing the power of communication to overcome worldwide challenges and develop new opportunities for success.
