Senior Account Director to Anthill 
Anthill Agency is looking for an experienced and talented Senior Director / VP to lead one of three commercial business units and work with continuous strategic positioning and existing accounts at senior level, ensuring the integrated commercial success of the agency.

The position
As Senior Director / VP for Anthill you will primarily be concerned with ensuring the integrated commercial success of the organization. You will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and work closely with the customers to understand and challenge their position in terms of ambitions and troubles as well as drafting, negotiating and committing cross-functional projects that will enable the customers to achieve long-term objectives. Furthermore, you will be part of the sales management team with two other BU-heads. The three units have a strong collaboration towards reaching results together. Thus, teamwork and collaboration over competition is unique characteristics of the everyday as Senior Director / VP.

You will lead one of three commercial business units consisting of 2 Account Managers and 2-3 Client Excellence Managers. Why an important component of the job is people management. You will be responsible for building strong client relationships as well as coordinating with the team to deliver solutions that meet clients’ needs and identifying opportunities to grow accounts. Additionally, the position requires identifying potential challenges or optimization areas as well as doing in depth-analysis and follow up with appropriate action planning.

Further concrete responsibilities will include:

  • Developing long-term plans and budgets for the business unit and its activities and monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance.
  • Continuously engage in partnership discussions, on-sell and new business meetings at senior level.
  • Manage sales pipeline to ensure lead inflow that meets targeted sales objectives.
  • Drive the development of new business and on-sales processes to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded.
  • Overall account development responsibilities ensuring strong customer relationships.
  • Ensure a smooth flow through process in the CRM system from the outset to the closing stage.
  • Establish and monitor progress against key performance indicators.
  • Support product development with customer and market needs.
  • Support the development of the pricing strategy of the organization 

Your profile
The ideal candidate holds a pertinent master’s degree or MBA in business, marketing, digital or a similar area. You have 10+ years of experience from a similar commercial/business function and have experience from both cooperation and agency. It is essential to have experience working in a fast-growing and decentralized environment, as well as working with performance-based dynamics in order to foster it within the team. Having held executive roles in recognized innovative organizations is a big plus. Many of Anthill’s clients are big international companies. In terms of this broader international scope, you have developed capabilities to deal with issues on an international basis, with knowledge about the European landscape. You have the required know-how of how to manage diverse and geographically remote teams. Knowledge of the North American market would be a plus.

Furthermore, you are a strong communicator with demonstrated skills in both written and oral presentations in English and possess strong negotiation skills. The role will require a combination of strong digital solution selling skills and in-depth pharma marketing knowledge. Delivering against set objectives and working under pressure is a common part of the job.
