Marketing Investment Strategist

On behalf of KAYAK we are now looking for a data-driven and passionate marketing profile to be Marketing Investment Strategist. You will be key responsible for the global overview of all the marketing investments across multiple brands and countries.

The position
As Marketing Investment Strategist for KAYAK you will be a pivotal part of driving KAYAK’s profitable marketing strategy by increasing value of their marketing investments. In this role you will be the primary sparring partner for regional marketing VPs in terms of challenging the existing thinking, providing recommendations for optimization and pushing the organization to deliver on targets. The Marketing Investment Strategist will hereto be global responsible for driving portfolio view of massive marketing investments across 7 brands, 4 regions, multiple countries, and products. You will be the one who can create a holistic view of all investments initiatives and expand on the robustness of evaluation metrics, covering all areas of marketing investments, from offline to performance and everything in between. You will evaluate output from different evaluating models like same session attribution, iRoas and econometric models which are used to measure the effects of our marketing activities. Finally, you will take the leadership over building the best-in-class reporting that minimizes complexity, makes comparison quick and easy and communicate data driven insights to c-level executives.

Your profile
The ideal candidate comes with a master’s degree or equivalent and hereto 3+ years experience evaluating marketing investments from a portfolio perspective. Experience evaluating business investments coupled with some knowledge of marketing could also qualify.

You have the knowledge of how online companies work and operate and are familiar with how to evaluate brand and SEM metrics. At the same time, you are able to extract key financial and business insights from large amounts of data and you are experienced in crafting presentations with the ability to communicate a clear and concise story from numbers.

As a person you possess strong structural skills, and you are good at managing many tasks at the same time as you have the ability to see the bigger picture and perspective. Supplemented with a proven ability to multitask and meet timelines within a fast-paced environment. Hereto you possess a mental flexibility, including the ability to dive very deep into details of the data.

You are a self-starter who is eager to take the initiative and eager to collaborate to elevate the success of the team. In your professional work you hold a highly analytical approach for analysis and reporting and natural curiosity regarding marketing metrics and key business drivers. During your career you have got experience dealing with VP+ level leaders or similar. To manage this role, you must be proficient in English on a business level and hereto you got excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Finally it is a plus if you have experience from management consulting.
