Digital Platform Manager for Cobham SATCOM

On behalf of Cobham SATCOM we are looking for a self-driven and execution oriented Digital Platform Manager who will be responsible for driven the development and user experience of our website and partner portal. You will also be responsible for unlocking the full potential of their marketing stack. 

About Cobham SATCOM

The company headquarters are in Lyngby, Denmark and has a large development and manufacturing site in Concord, CA (USA). They work with the biggest players in the industry, and the technologies they work with affect lives across the world.

In January 2020, Advent International, one of the largest and most experienced global private equity investors, acquired all of Cobham plc and has subsequently separated Cobham SATCOM as an independent business. Cobham SATCOM works with customers and partners across the globe and is at this moment experiencing vast growth with many new opportunities in the pipeline.


The position
The role as Digital Platform Manager is newly established and is a unique opportunity to help rebuild Cobham SATCOM’s digital ecosystem. You will be owning and managing the website and portal to exploit the full commercial potential while also driving the necessary technical aspects. You will collaborate with a wide range of colleagues across the company, particularly in the business units, their partner community and IT-department. Your mission is to continuously optimize the user experience and performance of their instrumental customer-facing platform, and together with the project manager, application manager, developers and UX/UI designer you shape the technical aspects related to performance and architecture of Cobham SATCOM’s website & portal.
You work with the global analytics team on the customer data model and turn data into actionable insights. On the front end you work with the digital marketers to exploit the opportunities to most efficiently nurture leads, engage the partners and generate e-commerce revenue.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing public webpage & partner portal and related campaign-sites & assets bank/builder
  • Editing and managing content in the CMS system to improve lead nurturing across the funnel
  • Establishing governance on our web templates, -forms & workflows
  • Co-developing the customer data model and support data integrity across platforms
  • Acting as super-user & application support to internal users
  • Facilitating training sessions when relevant (for internal users and external partners)
  • Generating data-driven insights, reports and analysis (in collaboration with global analytics team)

This role will be based in the Head Office of Cobham SATCOM which is located in Lyngby, Denmark, but some occasional international travel must be anticipated. The role reports to the VP of Marketing & Public Relations.

Your profile
The optimal candidate comes with 5-8 years of experience building and optimizing digital platforms & websites, preferably in global, partner-driven B2B context. You have an entrepreneurial  drive. Furthermore, you possess a commercial mindset and work well as a team-player. You are hands on when it comes to ongoing content editing, design improvements and general operation of the ecosystem in order to improve conversions and user satisfaction. In addition to your digital capabilities, you have the ability to understand the business challenges and translate these into concrete digital programs that significantly lift the scalability and efficiency of partner and customer interactions.

You come with business acumen and great stakeholder management skills. You are experienced within digital transformations, has sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, a tech-savvy and a content specialist.

You come with high attention to details and a can-do attitude, along with an inspiring and motivating approach that affects every person you meet. Furthermore, you are a strong communicator with outstanding writing skills and have the perseverance and ability to simultaneously manage many tasks. You are detail oriented, collaborative, empathic and are able to work with a broad group of stakeholders across departments, levels and time zones. Finally, you are ready to roll up your sleeves to ensure effective digital marketing strategies within a leading company that is harnessing the power of satellite communications to overcome worldwide challenges and develop new opportunities for success.
