The position

Our drive is to become even more customer centric, work with a digital-first approach and commercial mindset, deliver tangible long-term outcomes, and operate truly networked within the business. Category Management inside GN Hearing Product Management has set in-market product performance and ownership as one of our main objectives. The two specific hardware categories cover a very significant share of GN Hearing sales, and we are looking for a commercially minded product person to take on the challenge of driving it further.

You will be responsible for the commercial performance of your products in our respective markets and will be the first point of entry for any topic tracking, helping, and serving the market growth. In the position you will be a close partner of the markets and will collaborate to address their needs to grow product performance.

Internally you will be working closely with the rest of the teams inside Product Management as well as several other internal functions such as R&D, Marketing, Finance and more. Your outbound responsibility of the category will be flanked by your inbound Product Manager colleague and together you set the strategic context, defining and delivering successful products, as well as addressing any issue holding back the success of your in-market products.

Your key responsibilities will include:

 
  • Acting as the product CEO taking on the full responsibility of the product category performance
  • Partnering and collaborating with the individual markets to help them maximize the growth of your category
  • Be the first point of entry for any performance tracking, product concern or stumble block for the markets
  • Become the go-to-person on detailed domain and market knowledge on both end-user experience, competitive levels as well as local market considerations
  • Post launch reviews and business case follow-ups with individual markets
  • Defining program scope in close cooperation with your PM and R&D counter parts Create and argue the product business case for new products
  • Successfully launch and follow-up on commercialization of your products

You will enter a central role in a large international and cross-functional team and become part of a journey of supplying the best tech solutions in the world.

Your profile

The ideal candidate comes with a commercial or technical degree at bachelor’s or master’s level and has 3-4 years of experience from another relevant commercially oriented product management role. To succeed in the position, you must demonstrate the ability to combine commercial and technical perspectives, possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to quickly adapt to different organizational levels and team cultures. Thereto, you find it natural to strengthen and maintain relationships with your stakeholders, as well as to motivate colleagues, always focusing on your goals and end users.

You live and breathe your product, are experienced in managing international product launches and in-market performance. Experience within health care, medical, or MedTech industries is a clear plus, appreciating the different audiences of end users on the one, and hearing care professionals and business customers on the other side. You have a commercial mindset and business acumen and own the ability to translate market requirements into strong product offerings and vice versa. You have a data driven and analytical approach that naturally integrates into your work and the solutions delivered.

Moreover you bring:

  • Experience in driving in-market performance across an international business

  • Experience in close collaboration with Marketing and Commercialization teams

  • Experience in driving and successfully delivering on business cases and international product launches

  • Great team skills and the ability to navigate amongst the many stakeholders in a big organization

  • Great presentation skills, fluent verbal and written English – Danish is a plus but not a requirement

  • Industry- and product relevant experience is naturally a significant plus.

  • And not least a strong element of self-motivation and entrepreneurial mindset
