The position
This is a crucial role within our Marketing & Commercialization organization with a high degree of exposure in the central part of our marketing network to regions and markets, and working with external partners. Our drive is to become even more customer centric, work with a digital-first approach and commercial mindset, deliver tangible long-term outcomes, and operate truly networked within the business. As part of this, we have strengthened many of the critical competencies, such as customer insights, proposition development, digital planning and activation, and are creating a more flexible, hybrid in-house creation set-up. As Brand Strategy and Planning Manager you will join a tightly integrated team working across insights, proposition development, brand strategy and planning. Your role is to create strategic plans for our global and reputed brands such as ReSound, Beltone, Interton and Danavox, helping us to occupy a distinct position in the market and consistently build brand reputation and engagement with our professional and end user audiences. You plan truly integrated marketing communication programs and campaigns of global scale that are prioritized by the business and ensure their execution delivering against clearly defined commercial and marketing objectives. For this, we see you as the integrating force, where insights, value proposition and messaging come together in a clear plan that is reflecting the businesses priorities and objectives. You work tightly with our inhouse creative, external agency partners, and our digital teams to follow through on strong creative execution and implementation delivering outcome.

You showcase strategic thinking and rigor in planning with strong commercial understanding and mindset. Exceptional stakeholder management and indirect leadership skills are an important asset to firmly own strategy and plans, set clear direction, and be the custodian of the brand in a commercial organization. With clear digital focus you become a key transformative driver to excel how we plan and execute marketing and communications and set new ways of working.

The role will report directly to the Senior Director, Head of Marketing Insights & Planning, Nikolaus Scheurer. You will work from GN Hearing’s headquarters in Ballerup, Copenhagen. This role will include some travel, once this is more adapt again.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Create strategic and long-term plans for our global brands that are built on a clearly articulated and distinct brand position, brand identity and expression and founded in insights
• Drive the integrated marketing communications planning process across the team and create IMC plans for prioritized global and large-scale campaigns, launches, and programs with clearly defined objectives
• Brief inhouse creative and external agency partners ensuring the creative response answers on the plan, with consistent messaging, build long-term brand positioning, and work in a digital first and omnichannel setting
• Oversee integrated marketing communications activities are delivered on plan, quality, time and budget enabling central and local implementation and activation to result in measurable outcome and results
• Be an integrative and transformative force and collaborator, and act as the brand custodian for our global brands internally and externally driving creative and commercial brand consistency.

Your profile
We are looking for a highly driven strategic and commercial profile with experience in the hearing industry and clearly demonstratable digital strength. The ideal candidate comes with a min of 5 years of experience working in marketing strategy and planning roles in global businesses, can prove to have positioned, managed and developed brands successfully, and led large-scale integrated campaigns and programs that were adopted by the business, activated and created business outcome. Ideally, the candidate has B2B and B2B2C specific experience and a sound understanding and appreciation for hearing aids, hearing solutions, and the fundamentals of audiology.

As a person, you thrive being a change agent and role-model to work in new ways, guiding teams, partners, and stakeholders keeping them engaged and on-track, and inspiring and encouraging strong creative ideas and great work. With strategic strength rigor in planning, you are nonetheless a very hands-on ‘doer’ that enjoy being in the midst of it and seeing work through. You are extrovert and possess excellent communicative skills with the ability to formulate complex knowledge into clear plans, concise briefs, and generally understandable and commercially driven ideas and messages. Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management are your force, where collaboration, negotiation, and providing clear direction and guidance are critical for success.
