Brand Engagement & Community Specialist

On behalf of PlayStation, we are looking for an independent and creative Brand Engagement & Community Specialist, who has strong knowledge or interest in the gaming industry. In this role you will have the responsibility to further maximizing the presence of the Playstation brand, product and services. You will be managing local content to drive Social Media engagement, increase follower bases, supporting channel development and become part of the developing team at the office in Valby.

Not only do they distribute Sony PlayStation consoles, but also a long range of games such as: God of War, Days Gone and Marvel's Spider-Man.


The position
In the role as Brand Engagement & Community Specialist, you will have responsibility to make PlayStation the best place to play by maximizing the presence of the Brand, Product & Services in Owned & Earned channels on the Danish market.

You will be responsible for Social Media, Community Management, Influencer Marketing and local marketing support in collaboration with agencies. You will manage and drive Social Media engagement and the production of local content, through agencies to increase follower bases. Most productions will be outsourced, and only small-scale production will be handled in-house. Also, you will engage and manage the local Playstation gaming communities, to drive engagement in Owned and SoMe channels. You will be close to them, and communicate on relevant external channels, where the community is active. Also plan and implement tactics to drive engagement and support global initiatives. You will also manage the influencer program and ensure strong local ambassadors representing the brand and driving awareness for key products and services.

The role reports to Group Comms., Community & Media Relations Manager, Rikke Nissen and you will collaborate with your counterparts in the Nordics and Baltics, and also Campaign Managers, Owned Channels Lead, PR Lead inhouse and manage local content creators; agencies, freelancers, influencers and brand partner.

Your areas of responsibility will be:

  • Social Media channels and driving production of local content.
  • Drive platform engagement, increasing follower base and supporting channel development.
  • Work with Owned Channels Lead to align on weekly content plans and Campaign Management to align on commercial priorities for long term content plans (running quarterly plan).
  • Community Management - engage with and manage the local Playstation gaming communities, to drive engagement in Owned channels.
  • Push engaging content in Owned + external Social media channels to serve the community
  • Influencer Marketing - ensure strong local ambassadors representing the brand and driving awareness.
  • Act as project lead from A-Z on content productions carried out by partners (brief, plan, approvals, execution & evaluation) and ensure all local content follow Nordisk Interactive approval guidelines & processes.
  • Manage local YouTube show. Lead on the production of each episode to ensure the show/host etc. resonate with the local community and content is both entertaining, locally relevant and aligned with commercial priorities.
  • Local marketing support – help with sparring, ideas, events, sponsorships and some translations

Your profile
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree, and has experience with Social Media management for +4-5 years, where you can demonstrate solid skills with managing Social Media channels, communities, tournaments, and creating marketing collaboration with partners. It is also a great advantage having experience with the gaming industry. You will be engaging and communicating in gaming and influencer networks and are therefore an out-going person, who thrives in fast changing environments and possess a “can do” mentality.

The role as a Brand Engagement & Community Specialist involves independent responsibility in a large corporation, therefore experience with project management and global governance is important. You are a strong communicator with demonstrated skills in both written and oral presentation in Danish and English and hold strong interpersonal and personal negotiation skills.
