Account Manager for AKQA

On behalf of AKQA Denmark, we are currently looking to hire an Account Manager with the ability to build strong client relationships and commitment to driving the business forward through innovative and inspirational work. With strategic understanding, you will establish and execute client business plans that align with the goals of AKQA and contribute to driving the quality of the agency’s work and organic business growth.

The position

As Account Manager at AKQA, you will develop strong client relationships and be committed to driving the business forward through innovative work that inspires and motivates consumers. You will contribute to strengthening and developing AKQA and mobilize teams to deliver projects that achieve excellent results for the client and the agency as a whole. You are proactive and thrive when faced with new challenges and you continuously seek to improve the way things are done for the clients.

You will drive the client portfolio and collaborate with internal teams to make sure that all client needs are met and that deadlines are kept, to secure highly successful projects for the client and the agency. Effective teamworking skills are needed to drive results and positive change within the team. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and maintaining mutually beneficial client relationships; identifying opportunities, inspiring them, learning from them, understanding key business issues, and regularly planning and facilitating review sessions.
  • Developing a solid understanding of business environment and audiences of the client portfolio, as well as in-depth knowledge of client businesses and market challenges faced.
  • Successfully managing suppliers, partners and clients to ensure successful outcomes for both the client and AKQA, as well as keeping stakeholders informed of project progress at all times and managing expectations proactively.
  • Demonstrating AKQA strategic thinking, e.g. able to formulate strategic propositions into client-ready decks and ensuring AKQA shares relevant solutions that meet client business objectives.
  • Responsible for all aspects of monthly financial process of account, demonstrating the ability to reduce number of unbilled hours on account.

Your profile

The ideal candidate has completed a relevant degree within e.g., marketing, communications, or business administration and comes with a minimum of 3+ years of experience from working in an agency, preferably within digital, strategy or business consulting, or in a large international organization. You must have a proven track record with creating and executing interactive, digital brand experiences, furthermore, be able to demonstrate your strategic understand of all marketing disciplines.

As Account Manager you can demonstrate thorough knowledge of digital and online marketing communications, and you come with a solid understanding of the digital landscape and can prove strong problem-solving skills. It is a great benefit if you have experience of managing integrated global or regional campaigns that involve multiple internal as well as external stakeholders, but most importantly, you are hands-on and possess excellent execution skills.
You have great presentation skills and possess the ability to structure ideas into well-ordered and insightful presentations. Furthermore, you have excellent decision-making abilities, and you can provide guidance and advice under pressure.

As a person you are open-minded and result oriented. You possess strong analytical skills, are relatively data driven and an agile mentality. You are not afraid of taking on assignments which is not your natural responsibility. Instead, you are a team player you are ready to secure that AKQA’s high ambitions are met both in the short and long term.
